Real-world study results with the Domus 4 mattress (JWOCN)

We are excited to share the results of a recent study on the effectiveness of Powered Alternating Pressure Air Mattress (P-APAM) in real-world settings to prevent pressure injuries (PIs). The study followed 86 patients at medium to high risk of PI for 35 days.

Key findings

  • 0% incidence of pressure injuries: No patients developed pressure injuries during the study (95% CI: 0.00%—.28%).
  • High satisfaction rates: 77.9% of patients were satisfied with the comfort, and 73.0% rated the stability as satisfactory or very satisfactory. All patients were pleased with the mattress's noise level (100%).
  • Caregiver satisfaction: Caregivers reported ease of use and safety throughout the study.
